Metropolis Design :: Conceptual Design

Conceptual Design:

In the conceptual design phase, our designers work to understand the idea and all of its possibilities, limitations, and requirements. By doing so we can create viable solutions appropriate to the overall concept of the design. Once research is complete, we begin ideating the design through thumbnails, sketching, modeling, role playing, brainstorming, etc. Once several viable ideas are worked out, we prepare them for presentation, typically using computer rendering, sketch, or model format.

We then meet with the client for an initial design review. Here we strive to understand your responses to the work submitted and if necessary continue with the process by revising and often integrating the design ideas into one solution. Once a direction is agreed upon we proceed to mechanical design.
